A considered material palette

A considered material palette

Charred cedar, schist stone, brushed bronze, raw concrete. It's a deliberately small palette, and we use it because it ages well in the alpine light.

Each material asks for craft. Charred cedar wants careful end-grain sealing. Schist demands a mason who can read the stone. Bronze patinas — that's a feature, not a defect, but it must be discussed up front. Concrete shows everything you do, and everything you don't.

These aren't fashion choices. They're the materials we trust to be honest, fifty years from now, on a Wakatipu hillside.
